Trimax Factory
Trimax Transformers began trading in the mid 1930's and the name "Trimax" was a registered trade mark. By late 1949 the company moved to a new purpose built factory complex at the corner of Charles St. and Williams Rd. North Coburg, Victora, pictured above.
As the company name would suggest, the main focus of Trimax was transformer manufacture, however, complete electronic products were also manufactured including some professional audio equipment. The L M Erricsson Telephone Co Pty Ltd of Melbourne which was a wholly owned subsidiary of L M Erricsson Group, Sweden purchased a majority share of Trimax in 1961.
