Plessey Electronics

Plessey Electronics took over Rola (Aust) during the mid 1960's and continued to manufacture the existing Rola products under the Rola name. New products however, were sold under the Plessey brand. Australian made Rola and Plessey Equipment were marketed in the UK but it isn't clear if this was a successful move. The following appeared in Wireless World of March 1970, the picture is from 3XY in Melbourne. You can see Rola 33C's, Rola 77 Mk III's, and Plessey CT-80's in the picture.

CEI purchased the Magnetic Recorder Division from Plessey when they decided to get out of tape recorder manufacture in Australia in the mid 1970's.
